I'am going to be building a rod requiring more than one coat of Flex Coat lite build. Do I have to do anything between coats and is there any time frame to adhere to.
Thanks, Jeff Re: Multiple Coats of Flex Coat

I'll generally wait 8 hours plus, before putting on the next coat. After 8 hours, it is generally dry and not tacky. Keep the foil or whatever you lay the epoxy on during application out. Touch that rather then the rod to confirm it has set up and is not tacky. You should try and apply the second coat inside of 48 hours. Re: Multiple Coats of Flex Coat

Jeff , if you do happen to wait longer than 72 hrs , scuff the epoxy with some grey Scotch Brite, then go to town . I usualy scuff after 48 hrs just to be sure I don't get any small spots where the epoxy has repelled from the already smooth, dry, first coat .
