Multi-piece Med. heavy Spin

Versitex has a Pac bay IGSP1025-4F listed in their 4 piece blanks. 8 1/2 feet long, rated Med. HVY, Mod. Fast, throws up to 1 1/2 oz.

Does anyone have any experience in building or better fishing with this blank? It is not listed on Pac bay's products, nor can I find it anywhere else.

I do not, but I suspect it's a sort of steelhead/salmon blank. Maybe a little more "springy" than what you'd find in a similar length and power surf plugging blank, but not a bad choice for that sort of thing. I've used some steelhead blanks to make light plug rods out of and they worked pretty darn well.

That's a good price on that type blank, Talon and others that have this type blank charge almost twice as much.
Haven't used that particular blank, but the ones I have used lacked the expected backbone of their similar two piece counterparts.

Thanks for that info. Need the backbone for both surf and cats. If it's too soft then it probably won't cast as well as the 2 pce models either.

Ideally, I'm looking for a 3pce, 8 1/2 ft to throw up to 3 oz. Fast action.
