I agree Bob.
The Water-Break-Free Tool is one of those simple but clever ideas that when you see it you think to yourself, dummy why didn't I think of that.
Plastic reel seats, like most plastic parts, are injection molded and mold release is used, which is basically a wax. The inside of plastic reel seats should be prepared to accept the epoxy and also to insure that there is no wax residue remaining. However, I have mounted reel seats on rods too many times to count without preparing the inside surface. I am going to make one of these tools right away. Thanks Tom and Buddy.

Tom

I spilled some Burgundy on my rod maker tee shirt that was used in a promotion a couple of years ago for Rod Maker magazine. It stained.

Does this tee shirt, by any chance, have a life-time warranty against such accidents?

Only against actual defects I'm afraid. But I'll tell you what, if you're in Charlotte, bring the stained one and I'll swap it with brand new for you. No charge.

Tom,
I would not give Richard a new one if he spilled a French Burgundy on it. In that case the defect was inside the tee shirt. Now if he had spilled a good Oregon Pinot Noir (same grape) then that would be a different story. But in that case Richard would probably want to continue to wear it.

Richard,
I am sorry, I could not resist . If you are a true Burgundy fan, so am I by the way, send me an e-mail and I will give you the name of some Oregon Pinot Noirs that I think that you will like.
