Anyone know if any manufacturer out there makes a 3 piece surf rod or blank? Looking for about 8 1/2 feet, to throw up to 2 oz + bait. Re: 3 piece surf rod

I believe Conoflex makes some 3-piece rods. Alot of the surf folks I know are reluctant to even use 2-piece rods because of a concern about how multiple piece blanks perform under really exreme loads. Re: 3 piece surf rod

The Conoflex rods are all 12 ft long, and 3 pce is a special order option. Mudhole has the Purglas 3pce rods, but those are also special order and, on top of costing bucks, can take another 2 months for delivery. The heavy Loomis escape is way out of budget. Doesn't anyone make a heavy spinning/casting rod in 3 pce? I'm thinking along the lines of an eeling/medium plugging rod. Light surf bait duty, distance lure fishing, and catfish. 3 pce for car trunk portability. Help!!!!! Re: 3 piece surf rod

Versitex lists a Pac Bay IM6 4 pce 8 1/2 footer, rated to cast up to 1.5 ounces. Would fit the bill for casting lures.
Model is IGSP 1025-4F. Does anybody have any experience with this blank? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
