Has anyone built on these blanks? I'm intrigued by the olive color and would like to try a couple of them as spinning rods. I'd be using them for light jigs/grubs/tubes (1/16 - 1/8 oz. on 6 - 8 lb. line) for bass and/or crappie fishing since we don't have an abundance of toothy critters around here. I think I'm interested in models IWCB 703 and IWB 693 and possibly IWR 7000. Any thoughts or experiences are greatly appreciated. Also, what thread color combinations have you used or would you recommend for this color blank?

The IWR 7000 is the blank I'd choose, It's the exact same blank as the IP 7000 which is a dollar cheaper and gives you another color option.
Not a bad light line drop shot rod and throwing minnow imitating plugs like Rapalas, Long As and Rebels. Also have used them in clear water situations for smallmouth and finesse worms, etc.
Bingham's on the left has great prices on these blanks, also Richard may have one.
Light tip for the first 1/3 of the blank that quickly transitions into a fairly stiff butt.
I've caught lots of summer steelhead on mine on small streams and small spinners or spoons.
Rich Forhan's spinning rod formulas fit the characteristics of this blank perfectly.
Loomis also make a blank with the same characteristics,but they use the standard store bought guide system and it turns this blank into a real slug.
