Guide placement on repair

I am using a plug/sheath combo on a broken rod.I took off a guide to center the sheath.The original position of the guide,before the break,is where the sheath is.To maintain uniform distance between guides should I,can I place the guide on the sheath or should I just move it off ever so little beyond the end of the sheath.Thanks Re: Guide placement on repair

Charlie, I think that you could probably do either but I think that I would tend to put it on the sheath if that is where the guide should be plus it should give the repair a little additional strength. Re: Guide placement on repair
