I am using a plug/sheath combo on a broken rod.I took off a guide to center the sheath. The original position of the guide, before the break,is where the sheath is.To maintain uniform distance between guides should I,can I place the guide on the sheath or should I just move it off ever so little beyond the end of the sheath. Thanks

Charlie,
I think that you could probably do either but I think that I would tend to put it on the sheath if that is where the guide should be plus it should give the repair a little additional strength.

Put it on the sheath. That will prevent stress at that point.
