Hi, I'm looking for a 6'6" 3 pc fly blank for small streams. I've been looking at the Lamiglas blanks, specifically the Appalachian XMG (ET 783) and the Graphite /Glass composite blanks (CFL 783 3). I'm not even sure if the latter is available yet. Any opinions on these blanks, or any others, would be appreciated. Bill Re: 6' 6" 3wt 3 pc Fly (Lamiglas?)

They are both available, but the Appalachian gets my vote, they are one sweet series of blanks. Many positive posts for them can be found in the archives. Re: 6' 6" 3wt 3 pc Fly (Lamiglas?)

Thanks, Spencer. I did a search but found very little info on the newer composite blanks, and I was hoping to get some more opinions on them. Bill Re: 6' 6" 3wt 3 pc Fly (Lamiglas?)

I built a 4wt Appalachian for fishing small streams in Colorado. Currently, it's probably my favorite rod. Very nice casting rod. E.. Re: 6' 6" 3wt 3 pc Fly (Lamiglas?)

My vote would be the for 6'6" Tiger Eye. Really a great blank! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
