EVA grips that are too large for blank

I have some EVA grips (Old Clemens, etc), that were preformed to fit Fuji IPS seats and what not. Problem is that the ID of the foam is pretty big, and I'm pretty sure that for the length of the grip, no blank is big enough to fill in the whole gap. Has anyone else ever used these? What to build up the blank with? If you do it like a reel seat, then there will be soft spots in the grip I think. So solid mesh tape bushing all the way up the rear grip? Using my daily quota of questions. :) Phil Re: EVA grips that are too large for blank

I had the same question awhile ago and Tom K. suggested spraling twine up and down the blank where the seat will go. I have done it a few times and it works ! Mike Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
