Hi Rick, Assume you are using a small spinnig reel.i would try 3 7 12 from the tip, put the reel on and static test. That UL might need 4 guides though. John Re: scb24ul ice rod

Aaron, SCB24UL is one of the blanks in the St. Croix solid graphite series. This particular model is a 24" Ultra Light blank. The other models in this series are 28" UL, 28" medium, 28" med. light, and 32" medium. Rich Garbowski Richard's Rod & Reel Re: scb24ul ice rod

The factory model uses 3 guides plus tip (guide sizes 16, 10, 8), and spacing as follows (in inches from tip--3"(8)-6.5(10)"-10.5(16)") Re: scb24ul ice rod

Hay Bryan, I have a question for you. You had the (guide sizes) and guide spacing for St. Croix's 24" ice rod. Do you by chance know what the ( guide sizes ) and spacing for their (SCB28ML). If you do by chance know this off hand Bryan, I would really appreciate your in-put on this. Thanks Mitch Bryan I build a few Ice rod's every year. (like ten 10 or more), but they are ALL graphite. One more question for you Bryan, what type of tip-top do you use on any of the St. Croix, solid carbon Ice rod's. They all have very small tip-tops. Like the 24" UL calls for a 2.5 tip-top. What should be used. Other then a Fly rod tip-top. Please Bryan if you have any ideas about this (tip-top) question will you please inform me about. Thank's Bryan, Mitch Bergquist "the 1 arm rod man" Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
