Guide recommendations for BGSW 1418 spinning

I building two spinning surf rods using a AllStar BGSW 1418 blank and I'm looking for a reference to start from for guide size. I've done a search and found a lot of information and read and re-read the article in Volume 7, Issue 1, but it just confussed me more than I already was. I've seen post concerning the 'new' fuji concept but think I'll stick with SVLG's or the HVSG's (high surf guides) or a combo of the two. I can afford to buy the entire range of each to set up the rod, so I'm looking for input from guys that have built on this blank before as a spinning surf rod.
Thanks in advance.

If you're going to use it as a spinning rod, then I'd set it up for the New Guide Concept System. The guides you mention can be used for this. The article is on the online library page here.

Since your reel and line path will dictate the proper sizes, it's hard to recommend any specific guide sizes. If you want to come by here one day, I probably have enough different guide sizes to put you on the right path. Wouldn't take more than 3 or 4 minutes to set it up.
