Gary , I've built a number of these little guys . I have used both standard Pac Bay single foot fly wire guides and REC recoils . The strippers I used were Ti frames SIC with inserts . All of the rods came out good , My personal one has Recoils and a # 10 stripper ,2, # 3 , the the rest #2 single foot wire Recoils .With an all cork handle and a slide bands and cap setup from REC . I'll tell you , this is one sweet skinny water rod , right around 2 oz. you can also opt for Ti framed with inserts , but on somthing that small I personally think it's overkill.
Have fun . JD

you might consider going to a single foot stripping guide as well as single foot recoils as running guides for the most weight savings

I've built several of these using Pac-Bay ultra-light wire snake guides and a 10mm Pac-Bay stripping guide. Matches up nicely with an A5 reel seat and a Struble maple insert. Best, Vance

Single foot titanium #10 SIC fly guide as stripper, REC single foot light wire: #4, #3, #2, #2, #1s to tip. REC tip top. Or substitute H & H titanium #6 single foot raised leg fly guide for the stripper. A single foot #10 titanium SIC spinning guide works well if you want the extra height.
