Well, as my addiction to this rod building thing has grown, I have recently ordered parts to build a power wrapper, including motor, chuck, chuck mount w/wheel for belt to motor, and foot pedal. I am planning to fit this stuff to my flex coat hand wrapper (the three- support type with "v" notches for the rod. As I opened my package of goodies (thank you Jann's Netcraft), I noticed that both the motor and the foot pedal have bare wires rather than plugs, and I'm not an electrician. Could someone please enlighten me as to how to rig this thing together electrically, so that I have an on/off, connection for the foot pedal, and a terminating plug ? Thanks in advance, and happy holidays ! Don Eurillo (If I don't post anymore, you will know that my electrician's skills have not improved, and my wife will be listing a few blanks and way too much tackle on @#$%&!) You will need a cord with a plug-in on it. Then one wire on the cord, black if it is cloror coded should go to the foot pedal. The other wire (white if color coded) should go to the motor from the cord. The other wire from the foot pedal should go to the motor. This should make it work. If you have trouble with speed you could wire in a dimmer switch before the foot pedal and you can adjust the speed with it and have a off/on switch also. Worked for me. Hope this helps.
