Anyone out there know who makes the blanks for Redington Red Fly fly rods? The rod is a dark blue color. Thanks a million. Re: Redington

i'm sooo glad you spelled redington correctly! ;-) if you're just looking for a blue blank, angler's workshop offers their chalkstream blanks and they are blue, although only two piece fly rods. there's also batson's forecast imports. eric fresno, ca. where anal retentiveness runs rampant at times... As far as I know, Composite developments used to make Redington blanks. They are based in New Zealand. Don't know who makes them, now that Sage bought them. Glen Re: Redington

Dito Bob, From my research down under that appears to be the case, the discontinuing of these blanks seems to have upset a few people down here. Myles Brisbane, Australia Re: Redington

It seems that Sage bought Redington trade mark to use on the rods manufactured in Asia... If it's true, I doubt that Redington blanks will be available to the rod builders. Just me 0.02 Pavel Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
