Does anyone know who makes (or what blanks are used) on the Gander Mountain store fly rods? A friend just bought a 9' 6", 4 pc, 6 wt., IM7, fast action with titanium and maple reelseat for $79.00 with a rod sock and a nylon fabric covered hard tube case. It was a navy blue matte finish and it casts beautifully- what a deal. Re: Gander Mountain house fly rods

Probably an overseas made rod. The TFO rods are made overseas and they also cost and sell for very little. Re: Gander Mountain house fly rods

Cheap rods: They are better and have come down considerably. Was on a trip and needed a rod. Bought a $29 spinning rod at the drug store. Made in China. Can't fault it at all. Saving money is not a good reason to build low end rods now, for sure. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
