I am planning of making leather covered rod tubes, I can not find a source for the tubes, I do not need a finished rod tube, just the tube no cap or end. In brass or aluminum etc. If anyone can help with this I would appreciate it.

Thanks much.
S.M.

Try Angler's Workshop, they custom make rod tubes to any length you want, so I'm sure they will sell you just the tube also.

Steve,

If all you need is the tube, I am sure there are some metal supply houses out there that can custom cut aluminum tubing for cheap. Another option would be a machinist.

REC (to the left) might also help.

Go to an electrical supply house, and ask for rigid aluminum conduit. Available from 1/2 to 5 inch Diameter

REC has specials from time to time on oddball tubes . Try and give Dan an e-mail , I'm sure he will help you if you don't have any luck locally. JD

I would use pvc tubbing for sprinkler pipe. It's more crush resistant than that thin wall aluminum stuff that you get with your sages. And it is dirt cheap. I think schedule 40 is the right thickness.
