Anyone have a source???

Does any one have a source for adhesive backed sandpaper to make reamers with, probably 1" - 1 1/2 " wide? My supplier has the paper but its not adhesive backed, I know I can use epoxy or contact cement but just wanted to see what the difference in price would be between the two.
Thanks in advance,
Noel

Home Depot sells rolls of it in 3" widths. You can always cut it.

have you explored the possibility of using loose grit epoxied or glued to a blank section?

All the above ideas are great. One thing you have to watch out for is grit coming loose and impregnating in to the cork. The grit well act as a abrasive and could cause blank failure. I use metal reamers

I made grit reamers and they don't lose grit, maybe first time I used them but I check and there are no bare spots. I ream awhile then clean with fox tail brush to get cork out of grit. Frankly I'm surprised they hold up so well. ED...

I'm still using the grit reamer I made over 20 years ago. I do everything by hand with it. I don't know how it would hold up to a power drill, though.

I got a kit from Custom Tackle a few years ago. A few short scraps of various dia. blanks and a roll of heavy grit 1/4 - 1/2 wide sand paper/cloth. use contact cement or 3M weather strip adhesive to bond the cloth to the blanks ,and been going strong for years.

Putter I use mine in a variable speed battery operated drill and have never had a failure. The only time I had any problem at all was when I tried the drill on high speed and it heats up to quick. So I learned to just use it at lower speeds.
