I have a customer who is wanting a rod built on a rod close in action to an old Fenwick graphite rod he currrently has. The one he likes is 6'6", moderate-slow action with a sensitive tip. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks! Re: Looking for blank

Can he conveniently bring that rod to you so you can see how it feels? I found a 1983 & 1985 Fenwick Rod Builder's Blank Catalog in my stuff. The only model that seems to match your general description ** is: [** Fenwick, graphite blank, slow-moderate action, "sensitive tip"] FENWICK HMG (High Modulus Graphite) IRON HAWK Graphite Blank: GSP-78-1-F 6'6"(78") 2-pc(F=ferrule) G=graphite SP= spinning Moderate-Action,... Light-Power(-1-),... Lure Wt: 1/8th - 3/8th oz. Butt Diameter: 0.346" Tip-top Size: 4.5 / 64ths Blank Wt: 1.25 oz. David: Does that seem to match your customer's rod? I hope that helps you & the readers who can recommend a blank, gauge your selections. - Cliff Hall, Gainesville, FL - Re: Looking for blank

Remember that you can make a spinning rod out of a fly blank if you need a certain action. Also I think Neals had some Fenwick blanks? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
