As Fran mentioned -- cheap cork generally means very poor quality. Buyer beware. I would suggest purchasing cork from someone that will stand behind the price per quality issue. We sell our cork with an understanding. If we charge a particular price, the quality is going to match. Which means, that we you receive it, if it does not meet standards of price to quality, you can return it for a full refund. Bob McKamey -- Custom Tackle Supply Re: cork rings

You get what you pay for with cork! Decent cork is NOT cheap. I doubt that you will find decent cork on @#$%&. Remember, if it's junk, you have no recourse Mike Re: cork rings

saw on here someone suggesting corkstore.com. Checked it out and, if I remember right, flor grade rings were under a dollar. Can't vouge for the quality, but the picture looked good.....I think Ill try them next time I order. Anybody w/ any input on these? Stay away from cheap cork....it @#$%&. Bought a bunch of "select" or something like that for my first couple of grips. Well, out of 50, about 5 were good, 10 were ok, and the rest were basically junk. Go with flor. Re: cork rings

Why skimp on cork quality on a cane rod, when the blank alone is going to cost $200-500 or hours of your time to make? Re: cork rings

You want the best rings money can buy for cane rods. When I need rings I just call Bob at Custom Tackle tell him what I need the rings for and if he has them he tell you, if the rings are not up to standard he will tell you.. So give Bob a call.
