I have a customer that will only buy GLX bass rods, He is a great repair customer. Anyway, he told me Loomis has a new guide on the GLX that has no ceramic insert. He was wanting to know if I will be able to purchase them for repairs.Anyone have any idea if this is true.

Mark
That is true, I am not sure of the name brand of the guides but they look and feel a lot like Recoil Guides from REC.

Check out REC Components, there web site is in the sponsor list at the left.

Mark & Lynn, They are in fact, REC Guides. I like the single foot and the snake guides. I'm still not sure about the double foot guide, although, since they are pretty slick due to thei alloys they use, I curious enough to consider building a rod just to see how they perform.

Loomis will send you free guides for repairs. I just did one for a friend of mine.
