I'm using 811 for the the first time. How many coats of 811 is enough and how much drying time before coating with LS Supreme? Thanks guys!!!

I use only one application, a pretty heavy one. I put on enough so that the threads turn uniformly dark (they come back up once dry) but not so much that the stuff runs and sags on me. Don't brush it around - it tacks up fast. Load your brush, hold it above the wrap, lower it to the wrap, revolve the rod 360 degrees underneath it. Dip the brush in more 811, move over one brush width, and repeat.

If you choose to use 2 applications of 811, a few hours apart, you won't hurt anything.

I generally wait at least overnight before applying finish.

Tom is right on [he usually is] the best I can Add is that on light colored thread on a dark blank I will use two coats and on yellow, tan and white I will use a third just to be sure....DO NOT REDUCE
