Well I'm convinced. I'm going to try my first spiral wrap on only my second rod. It is going to be a 6.5' medium action, 10# to 15#, one piece rod using a shimano chronarch reel. It will be used mostly for bay fishing. My question is should I use single foot or double foot guides. Also I'm on a tight budget and I don't have the funding to buy several different sized guides to try. What size guides would you suggest. I understand that it would only be a suggestion, but it would go a long way to getting me close on my first set. Thanks Paul Re: Guide Selection

Paul, Go with a #12 casting guide, then #10, #8, #6 single foot running guides. The #6 will be your 180 guide. From there run #6's to the tip. You can use either the V-frame or 3-leg guide for the first one. You'll likely need 5 #6's (8 guides total) and a tip. Thanks, Rick Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
