I just finished my first rod!

I just finished my first rod ever. It is a loomis CBR 845, spiral wrapped (O'Quinn method basically), forhan locking wraps on the single foot guides, and no foregrip. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. All of the finish leveled out nicely (no footballs) but there are some small bubbles or pieces of dust on the butt wrap portion and first guide. Gives me something to impove on for the next one. I have to say thanks to Dan Corbett who posts here often for all of his help, and also to Tom Kirkman whose book and magazine were extremely helpful.

As good as this one is, your next one will be even better. And I feel pretty sure there will be a next one.

Congratulations on your first rod! Building a spiral wrap on your first rod is a significant achievement. I'm sure you will continue to apply what you have learned on future rods.
