I think " painting blanks " will work better I do use the Plasti-Kote auto metallic colors. with permagloss over that. BUT, I have just got in some auto clear that goes on the rubber parts of cars. Check this site out -- [www.autopaintdirect.com]

I did the search. does Plasti-Kote require the clear coat or will it stand alone.
Anyone tried this or have you always clear coated?
Trying to save weight and chances for dust.
Thanks,Mike

I would guess it would? I have always put two " dust " coats of paint, just enough to cover, then two coats of clear. With out clear you may have to put more paint on. I also have several rods with " thinned " out Glass Coat on. I beat the heck out of them and they seem to hold up well

That auto clear I just got in, I mixed some up. Kind of smells like Permagloss?? Acts the same? I wonder?
