Interesting that two of those blanks have an MHMF and HMF designation. I assume this is a "new" (for St. Croix anyway) action rating intermediate between M (moderate) and F (fast).

The 4C76MHMF is a pitchin' blank. moderate fast action and the butt is 1' telescopic.
The The 4C80HMF is a flippin' blank moderate fast action, with also the butt 1 ft. telescopic.

I agree the blue color I've seen on these is stunning. These blanks have been long awaited and we're also glad to see them finally come into our stock with more coming this week.

Does anyone know how the 05's differ from the 04's.. err or were there any 04's. Also anywhere to see the specs listed.

Are these blanks from Austrailia? I know one company down there has an absolutely gorgeous saffire blue blank. They also make a ton of other colors. I really dont think anyone could afford to order many from there due to the large shipping costs from A to U.

The color of the blanks does not indicate who made it. Paint is easy to come by. Anybody can make a blue blank, or a red one or a green one. My point is just not let the color of the blank make you think it must have been made by this company or that company.

St. Croix manufacturers and finishes the color on their blanks at their factory in the USA. The SCIV and SCV are blanks made at their factory there and not are not farmed offshore or at another plant that I am aware as being a distributor with their great product line.
St. Croix Rod is located at Park Falls, Wisconsin. The blanks they produce are domestic and tagged by model accordingly. Their process and engineering is proprietary. Top notch and I beleive something rod builders around the world using these blanks can be proud of.

I think Dave is refering to the CTS (Strudwick in Aust) blanks. He is right they are excellent blanks and as far as the dollar goes it is cheaper for you to import from us than for us to import from you. eg $76 US = $100 Australian.

The spinning version of the blank fishes awesome!
