I am repairing a graphite 2 piece,7'6" long. rod.The break is 11" above the ferrule and is a clean break. What is the range of prices for this type of work.I will be following Ralph O'Quinn';s article "Repairing Broken Rods." This is the first time I have attempted such a repair. Is this too much to bite off.And would I be better off returning the rod to the owner..Thanks guys. Re: Broken Rod Repair

The owner only has two options, really. The first is to return the rod to the manufacturer and pay for a replacement tip section. If he's willing to do that, and a section is available, this might be the best route to take. The other option is to repair the break with Ralph's techniques. I can't imagine charging less than $35 to $40 for the repair. .............. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
