How long can you leave epoxy between coats , first coat sinks right in and you can still see the thread can i leave it for a few days like that before the second coat warren Re: time between coats

If you do not recoat within about 72 hours, you'll want to scuff the first coat with some fine grey Scotchbrite before applying another application of finish. Otherwise you can recoat any time after the first application is no longer tacky and not do any surface prep, provided you haven't waited longer than about 72 hours. .......... Re: time between coats

Warren, Tom is on the money..I have played with the finish,and found 24 hrs recoat works best for the finish i use.72 hrs is about the max. capt ray. fishsticks4u Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
