I bought a discontinued blank with the above code. It is a Fenwickish brown, 63 inch long, 2 piece fiberglass blank. Anyone recognise the code? Re: Pig in a poke. SP 631E-F?

I bought the last 12 of that exact blank Cabela's had a few years ago. I've three left. An excellent ultra-light spinning blank, it makes a great smallstream flyrod too. I made & fish one of each. If you build it as a spinning rod be very carefull not to overline it. Use nothing heavier than 2 lb. premium or 4 lb. I.G.F.A. fishing line or you could break this delicate rod. Let me know what you build with this, please. Ralph Re: Pig in a poke. SP 631E-F?

Thanks for the info Ralph. I think a fly rod. I test cast the rod this weekend with a tip top and it seemed to want to tip cast even an 00 line, although I suspect a 1 or 2 weight would do better. It is a very light blank, so I may use my Forbes 1.6 oz. on it. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
