The new issue is at the press now. It won't be ready and won't mail until December 1st, but here's what's in store for the last issue of 2004:

Building a Power Wrapper - Complete plans and parts list for making your own machine.

Interior Water Break Free Tool - A time saving tool for prepping inside of seats, caps, gimballs, etc. Easy to make.

Adding a Dryer Attachment to Your Lathe - A simple means and method of fabrication for adapting or adding a drying unit to most any rod lathe or wrapper.

More Marbleizing - Further techniques on how to use the technique for more than just decorating a rod blank.

Crisis in the Rod Building Industry - A shocking revelation on some very poor trade practices that impact all of us .

Grip Templates - Full sized templates and plans for shaping a popular grip style. First in a series.

Beginner's Corner - Devoted particularly to those just starting out in rod building.

I get to wait another 4 to 6 weeks longer because i'm on the Big Island, Hawaii. RodMaker gets a boat ride. I never know when to let Tom know it's hasn't arrived,so far it has. Oh well that's the price you pay to live in paradise.

The best binders I have found and use are really made for photography but they are bullet proof. Check out www.lightimpressionsdirect.com item # 9941 ... You should put the magazine in a sheet protector if you plan to keep these for any length of time Just make sure to use ones that are Archival-Safe !!! I've been using www.wilsonjones.com item #21425 .. They are made for multi page capacity and RodMaker fits in them just fine. Your local Pro Photography store will carry the same type of binder and your local stationary store should carry the sheet protectors as well . Hope this helps....

Tight Wraps,

Rick

Tom, considering that 'other' rod building publications have 3 or 4 people working on them, and Rodmaker has only yourself, I think it's fantastic. I don't understand how one person can assemble and publish such a remarkably professional and high quality magazine. It astounds me.
