I know we have discussed finish blushing before. having something to do with humidity, and know one is really sure why it happens, but it seems at my house, I must have ideal conditions quite often. many times after I finish a wrap, and let it sit for a day or so, I get this blushing. You can usually just wipe it off with a rag either with some alcohol, or even just water, and 9 out of 10 times it doesn't come back. But, it seems if I don't catch it right away, and the finish cures for a few more days, it will stay, and cloud the finsh, while this can be cured simply by cleaning the wrap and adding another coat, it is a very annoying phenomena, and I would love to know why it happens. We don't really know why, except that it is very rare. It is so rare, in fact, that if your home contains those exact conditions that produce it you could likely just change one segment of your home's environment and rid yourself of the problem. A bit higher room temp perhaps. Or running the air conditioner in at least your drying room in the Summer. Anything that would alter your temperature/humidity, etc. Ralph O'Quinn has mentioned that he has tried to duplicate this effect, but cannot do so consistently. I have applied finish on days when the NC humidity was over 95%, raining, doors open, etc., and cannot get it to happen. If you are getting it most of the time, then I'd try altering something having to do with my finishing area's environment. Almost any change should rid you of the problem. ...............
