Rod building

I was just wondering on where I could buy an inexpensive but good quality rod spinner? I started to build a rod, I had a rod spinner but got lost when I moved. All I need to do is wrap the guides and glue them. And I would complete my very first rod (St. Croix). I'd appreciate any advice. Also, one other question. I broke one of my guides on my other St. Croix. I was wondering on how to take the wrap off without damaging the blank (rod)?
Thanks,
Maria

Flex Coat HW1 hand wrapper and the GM18 dryer from Mudhole Tackle $130 or so for both. It's basic, but it does the trick.

All you need to do is rotate rod every 15 minutes either a 1/4 turn or half a turn.. I turn a lot of rods by hand if I am at home.. If Im busy I turn on my Flex Coat turner.. Thanks Dave's Rods

To remove the damaged guide, use a razor blade to slice the wrap off the top of the guide foot/feet. Do not cut against the blank, only the metal portion of the guide feet. Slice or shave, instead of cutting down and into. Peel the wrap off and remove the guide. Most of the epoxy should come with it.

Any remaining epoxy can be removed by heating with a hair dryer and removing with a thumbnail or something like a plastic butter knife.

Dave,
How long do you have to do this before the rod dries?
