My wife is into all types of crafts and recently she showed me a catalog with different tools and various threads, while leafing thru the catalog I came across a comment regarding some of the threads,"This thread contains no silicone" which leads me to believe that some of the others may well contain silicone, so in addition to possible fading and strength we may if using some fabric threads run into a silicone problem. Hi John. In the past I have tried different threads like that. Great colors!!! Some worked and some didn't even using color sealer/preserver. For me it wasn't worth the effort. I am totally a Gudebrod user. They have enough colors for what I do and I have great success with their products. My customers are very happy with the butt wraps I do using Ht Braid and Electra Hologram braid. I can do them quicker and save my eyes and don't have to charge extra. Capt Neil Re: Threads

I find Gudebord and Rice to have more than enough colors to satisfy me. In fact, I don't like having too many choices - it confuses me. ................. Re: Threads

In reality I only posted this to possibly alert some people to possible problems when using fabric threads, although I do admit do having a certain fondness for the sulky and Prism metallics. John Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
