I need a chart to space rod guides properly. I am building my own fly rods. Thanks, Tom Berg

No chart will space your guides properly, only you can do that through a proper sequence of static stress distribution.

Charts are generic. They do not take into account rod action, power or handle length. You can however, use them to initially place the guides prior to doing your testing.

There are many good guide placement systems around. Once you learn one, you will never again need to rely on a chart and you will always be able to get optimum results from your guide sizing and placement as it will be correct and specific for any particular blank.

In the meantime, most of the manufacturer's websites have guide spacing suggestions listed. Check St. Croix and Loomis to the left. Lamiglas may also have one. They are to the left as well.
