Rodmaker magazine. Check the Sept/Oct 2000 and Jan/Feb 2001 issues. Their link is on the left and they are on the back issue page. Re: Where can I find instructions for spiral wrapping?

You can also click on "Search" and scan/read everything here about spiral wraps. There's quite a bit of information here. Kcon?

Hey Kyle are you Kcon from the CSF board? If so shoot me an email. I could give you the run down on the spiral wrap. Jimmy Re: Kcon?

Kyle, There could be quite a few versions and modifications of spiral wraps. If you search the archives of this site, as Kelly mentioned, I think you'll get some pretty good ideas. Some rodbuilders will give their particular version, and in the end you may end up with something that works better for you. The spiral wrap doesn't necessarily follow a pre arranged recipe, and modification for your preferences in performance or fishing situations can vary. Heck, many can't even agree about the name 'spiral wrap' so you might also check the search with names like 'acid wrap', 'twist', 'corkscrew', 'revolver'. I am sure I've left out a few names as they pertain to region or particular rodbuilder. Rich Solyrich Custom Rods. Re: Kcon?

Isn't it also called "Roger's wrap?" BTW, the re-wrap I just completed (my first wrap), I did as a spiral. It's a bottom-fishing rod, so I wasn't worried about castability. I just placed the guides (3 transition guides) in the best placement to keep the line as close to the bottom of the ring as possible under load. It'll probably be next weekend before I can try it out, but I can't wait. Re: Kcon?

and I searched the archives and learned a few things but it's alot of reading with a few good tidbits of information scattered through, that is why I would like to go straight to the source.I just received some backorders of Rodmaker but don't know if I got the right ones,I just picked out a couple that looked good the other day, before my interest in the Spiral wrap came up.I do have the Jan. issue so I'll take a look at it.Is there any more published info on the subject?I like to read all I can when i find something new. Thanks guys............Kyle Re: Yes,I am Kcon........

Kyle, The RodMaker volume 4, issue #2, from last year, has the best, most straight forward explanation I have read. It is an article by Rich Forhan about his "Revolver Rods". Bill Doherty I ordered a few back issues recently......
