i hear about all these different types of foam grips under different names EVA,HYPOLON,MOOSESKIN & CUSTOMGRIP II whats the story on these which is the most durable? or are they all about the same i do know there's a price difference many thanks R FLYNN Re: foam grips

I think Hypalon is in a different family than EVA. I know it is the toughest but also the heaviest. All the others are various forms of EVA which can come in different hardnesses. Most like the more firm grips although they can be harder to mount. Re: foam grips

Usually the Eva and Hypolon only see them in colors black or brown,but like the customgrip comes in different colors. I am sure when Tom see's your question here that he will be able to share more with on the different kinds. Thanks Neal Cissel Re: Simple Answer

The best materials and grips for rodbuilding are the hypron mountainbike grips from the stearingbars. They are the toughest but the only problem is the outside and inside size of the tube and the right model of the grip. You can ask it the bike company to make the grips fitted for your fishing rod's. greatings from Thomas Lont, a rodbuilder in The Netherlands, Europe.
