Just wondering if anyone has test casted these two side by side and can tell any differences between the two? Mike Re: legend ultra vs rainshadow xcel

Mike, Since no one cares to respond to your post, I'll take a shot at it but not from saying there would be no differences between the feel of the two blank, because there will be. Different individuals will give their own impression, but as a dealer offering both of these companies blanks, I will say you'll get your money's worth either way. The St. Croix SCIV (legend) series are extremely lightweight with crisp fast actions and incredible transfer of power, and very sensitive. This is the general reaction from those using this product. Some have already posted similar to this on this very board. As to the Excel line of blanks, they are high performance, very well chosen by quality control through Batson Enterprises excellence for consistency of product. This blank is their high end version of graphite in RX8 graphite of 51 million modulus. The differences may probably be best only observed by the beholder, I have received input from those using both blanks with postive results, but would not say they there would be no differences. One difference is the colors. The SCIV are spruce matte green and the Excel are graphite matte clear. Best way to satisfy your judgement on this is to try them both yourself, or we'll wait to hear what others may yet provide for comparisons. Personally, I like the SCIV graphite for actions and performance. Someone may disagree. I would not say anything bad about Excel, perhaps more of a matter of preference of the 'type' of fast action one might prefer.
