Fuji Concept Guide Formulas

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Formulas to find the right
size guides and spacing for a casting rod I intend to build?
The rod will be used for fishing small Sturgean off my boat and
possibly off shore. Was thinking a 8' to 8'6" heavy power fast
action rod that can handle between 15 - 30 lbs test. Some what
like a G.loomis hot shot rod or muskie rod but with a Aftco
Aluminum reel seat and possibly stainless steel boat rod guides.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Joe Rivera

There is no formula or set spacings. Your line path will dictate where the guides should go and how large or small they should be.

The July-August 2000 and November-December 2000 issues of Rodmaker had articles on how to set these up.

The Fuji website has some spacings listed but from what I am hearing they are really only for suggestion and don't work too well unless your rod is identical to those they depict in length and reel used. I do not know what the Fuji site URL is.
