Hypalon is heavy, but considered very durable. EVA comes in many different degrees of firmness and grade. Some is very good. Some is little more than sponge rubber. Usually very light but not as durable as most hypalon. ........... Re: hypalon vs. eva

If I want light I use cork. For saltwater I use hypalon exclusively. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
