OK, here is one solution - Take the BassPro but cap apart and cut off the threaded rod right at the base. A Dremel tool works good. Buy 1/4" Teenuts and T-bolts. You can get them from Woodcraft. Epoxy the T-Bolt in the Bass Pro But cap and epoxy the Teenuts into the end of your rod blank. You can use the same weights from the BassPro but cap. Now you have the opportunity to balance

Hi Steve, I would like to leave the tubing open like the hot handled rod. I live in Texas and we do fish in the winter time especially the lakes that are heated by power plants. Yes, The only support is the glue joint. No arbors... I think the rod will be more sensitive with the rod glued directly to the tube. Hi Guys, I am trying to epoxy a rod blank directly to a Texalium Tennessee Handle Tube. I am having a problem getting the epoxy to bond to inside of the Texalium tube.
