Brad - Just my 2 cents. I've had the same problems you're talking about. I started using much less finish and moving faster. Pouring the finish on a pie plate worked a lot better. I've had a little trouble with hills and valleys on decals. To fix this I apply more finish to the decal and apply with horizontal strokes. For me it takes at least 2 thick coats to get a level finish on the d

Bob - I just finished my 4th rod. On this rod I used Forhan wraps. I really like the look and the security, but I thought there's no way I can get it to look good. I'm very slow at wrapping, but the Forhan wrap was easy. Looks good and I know I won't have another guide pull free. Now if I can get the finish to look good I'll have a great looking rod.
