I finished a rod last night and the decorative wrap -- only in about a two-ince section where the wewave is -- has lots of micro-bubbles. Can I give it a light sanding with 1000 grit and recoat? Will that obliterate the bubbles? My appreciation in advance, JC

I have done two rods on my ATC power wrapper now and tried different serpetine patterns with the thread/ bobbin posts/ tensioner. The last 'couple of wraps I did, the tensioner bound the thread to the point it god frayed and/ or broke. In both cases, of course, I had to re-wrap that wrap. I thought my tension was too tight, but it did it with the very loosest of tension. I checked the faces

That rod is beautiful! I suggested doing Clyde's ribbons in the design and got a resounding, "No". (I would have probably needed a 20' surf rod). He has picked his design, I am just concerned about the color sequence. Tks, JC

Is there a standard thickness to cork rings? Also, should I buy the "screw-vise" (for lack of a better word), or are they too easy to make? My appreciation in advance --JC
