It's a little late to tell you now, but never under any circumstances wet sand a finish over a wrap. The nubs or even bubbles can be sliced off with a new single edge razor blade. I would also be careful using a tack cloth as it can leave a residue that will react with just about any finish. I used to use a piece of masking tape to pick up whatever I could see on the wrap and never had a problem
