I've posted a photo which shows Madeira Polyneon #40 underwrap with Gudebrod D "guide wraps". The underwrap had (1) coat of Amtak CP, then (1) more coat after the guide wrap was added. One coat of LS Supreme was then added. Why do I have the underwrap showing through? This is the first time I've tried this combination. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks I don't know how

Just a response to quality of blanks Batson Rainshadow/Forecast are SO GOOD I have a hard time finding the spine/spline. The last (4) rods I built were on Batson; Bill Batson also convinced me that a (2) pc surf rod has the same "flex" as a (1) piece. Thanks, Batson

I found that after I used some foam insulation material on the inside of the jaws, I also held the jaws shut by using a 1" wide Velcro strip wrapped around the outside of the jaws.
