Ok, On the same web site, Mr Artie Herbert has film called Finishing Techniques. If you can download that,it will be a great help. He shows you how to wrap and finish a guide. Very good film.

Fabrice;
Go to Mudhole's website and look under Rod Building 101. Mr.Ed Ehler has a wonderful lesson ,in PDF format, on cross wrapping. Read it very carefully, he explains everything you need to know on how to get started.
Part I Cross Wrap
Part II Multiple Thread Wraps

You are right on T.J.
These guys are a wealth of information. You can find out anything you need to know about rod building, and they are more than willing to help.
Sometimes I may have a question that sounds too foolish to ask,next thing you know I am not by myself, someone done ask it and someone done answered it.
So as Cliff and Bill said , ,just stick around long enough and they will pick

I automatically got kicked off due to not having a proper name (J.B.Hunt). All I have is initials. That is what is on my birth certificate(thanks mom). The Forum Rules will not accomodate my first name. So I had to make up one (Jay). I apologise Tom Kirkman. And thanks to Chris Karp for answering my question.
Come to think of it , I had the same problem with my name during my 9 years in the Army
