I just enjoy the art of rodbuilding, the thing I like best about it is the joy of building a rod that I though thru, design, fished with it and caught fish with it . just a great hobby

Jacob, I have bin using flex coat for years and like it a lot. I just got so use to it I don't think I will change.

Chris, I would start out using 200 grit , if you feel you need a little more than use 150 grit

Hi guys, I bin building rods for about 20 years, I would like to do a feather inlay never did one before. Can someone let me know if there is a Vito to watch or can someone enplane to me on how to do it. Thanks Larry. Tight lines.

Mike, you can tape the guides on your rod and try some tests casts and see how it work to get your spacing wright. Tight lines

John, I love doing weaves also. I have bin building rods for about 10 to15 years. Weaving is one of the things I love about rod building. There has bin lots of times that I had to get up and take a break from weaving. I have also made the same mistake you have made. Don't feel bad ,we all make those mistake in the learning curve.
