I am building a fly rod with a 5” butt section of diamondback rattlesnake skin inlayed into the finish. The first layer of finish (PROKOTE) has been applied (over 3 coats of color preserver) and is almost dry. Now I am seeing a couple of tiny points sticking up where the scales from the snake skin were apparently raised. They are very small but can be seen in the finish. Here is my question:

I am building a 11' 3 wt nymph rod. It will be my first build ....so I have plenty to learn. It appears that the guide spacing charts do not include measurements fo an 11ft rod. Can anyone tell me where to find this information?
