You didn't say that you had a problem, just asked if anyone else did. Did you try the CP on some wraps? I have had this product for over 30 years and never had a problem. Be specific in your question and you will get better answers.

I am going to take exception to a few things posted here on this topic. Thread holds the guides in place, color preserver is supposed to maintain the color of the thread, and the rod finish is supposed to keep everything in place for years.

It totally depends on the finish that you are using. Paint thinner will work for varnish, either Ketone or Acetone, or laquer thinner for epoxy, Trondak brush cleaner for any of the finishes. Alcohol is a poor choice. Randy
