Hi Roger, If I can just share an experience, that happened to me. I had a wrap that needed an extra coat, so, I put the rod, on a couple of rollers in front of a window for sum light to work on. I was nearly finished when the phone rang, as it always does, one of my daughters needed me to go up town for her, as they always do. To cut a long story short, while I was away, the sun m

Hi Folks, Some time ago I purchased a three piece travelling rod. The specs decal has been misplaced, lost, put in a safe place or gone missing. I could blame the cook, but I am not that brave, just old. Any help with the specs would be greatly appreciated. The Rod numbers are, PR 844-3. The 3 I take it denotes a three piece. Thanks in advance for your help. Go the M

Hi Robert, If I were you, I would seriously consider Don's kind offer. You will find him an awesome bloke. His heart is in the right place. But, what he didn't say is, the other fellow he is picking up is an Aussie. He looks a little bit shady, well ok, maybe a little more than a bit, but is an absolute inspiration to us Aussie builders. I have no doubt what so ever you will enj

Hi Arturo, For as long as I have been building rods, I have used a teaspoon to burnish. I have one with a square end, for packing and use the round end for burnishing. every now and then I give the square end a rub on the cook's fingernail polishing board to keep it smooth. If you tell her that, I shall plead the fifth amendment. It also comes in handy at morning tea coffee time.

Hi David, Good to see sum one has started the ball rolling. Hope you have a good weekend, sorry to say, I will not be able to attend, will be in Townsville. Don't worry about being run out of town, David, as that won't happen. The retraining, to make you a Queenslander, may take a little while. With our help you will come to love the Maroons LOL.

Hi Harry, Just a thought, the way I do the single trim band, is, you do not use the straw for the single band, only for the actual trim band itself. Randolph, Totally agree with you, I stumbled onto it years back, use it often, never had a problem with it unravelling. The other thing about it, is, it is as easy to do, as mixing two portions of hardener when applying finish.

Don May I suggest you try two things. Try FishHawk metallics. Try as Bill suggests, tension the spool not the thread. Cheers, Rod. Mboro. Qld.

Hi folks, I am in need of a few sets of Fuji Cobra Skeleton Seats. Having a hard time locating a supplier with them, maybe it is just a case of not looking in the right place. Any help pointing me in the right direction, would be much appreciated. Thanks and cheers, Rod.
