Two great blanks that come to mind - For a 7' blank, the MB843-MHX and for the 7'-3" blank, the MB873-MHX. Not only are they good for the size spinnerbait you have mentioned, both are a very versatile blank that you can use for many other types of applications for bass fishing. You will get a lot more usage out of the rod, other than just a spinnerbait. We also off both those models

Dick -- Versablend is a size A thread. Lorenzo -- I really do not suggest using the thread as a wrap. If you were to use it as a wrap, I would not wrap it on a rod that was going to se any heavy duty usage.

Hello Greg -- Actually in the Mud Hole Value E-Glass blanks, there are only two pink models -- SPSWB7L-Pink rated 10 to 15 pound test line and SPSWB7M-Pink rated 15 to 25 pound test. The SPSWB7M is more along the line of what you would want to use, in the Pink E-Glass blanks. Thank You for your interest in our products.

If ordering via phone, you can provide your info to one of our sales reps and it will be typed on the order to have parts fitted to a particualr blank. We aim to please!!

If that is Dave Mayer from up in Minnesota that is going to present, he can hand write and sign a rod as good as anyone that I have ever seen. I hate to blow the whistle, but if you can gt him to show off his technique, he is the man!!

Casey -- We do not recomend you cutting the tips of those blanks. I would suggest going with the heavier powered blank instead of cutting the lighter one. As a note, it would void the warranty of the blank by modifying it. Thank You for your interest in the product line of MHX rod blanks. Bill Ballou has also provided a couple of good suggestions in blank models.

Lorenzo -- Thank You for getting back with me on the usage. The HM-MB873 is a very versatile rod blank. The Hm-MB874 MHX would be a very good choice for your next build. Again, thanks for the fantastic feed back and being a supporter of the MHX line of rod blanks. Matthew -- Thank You and we appreciate your continued support.

Lorenzo -- Glad to hear you really like your new Hi-Mod MHX rod. Just curious, which blank and what type lures did you use on the rod? Thank You for the feed back about the HM-MHX. We learn from the feed back our customers provide us. We appreciate you!!

Standard MHX blanks are a matte slate grey finish, with the exception of the Lt Saltwater series and they have a clear gloss finish over the grey. Our Hi-Mod MHX blanks have a "naked" graphite finish.

Alex has provided very good advice. You do need to decide what size Senko will be used and pound test line to be used. A Senko is a very versatile biat to use and so many different techniques of fishing it. The can be fished weightless or used with a weight system. You can fish them Wacky style, Texas rigged, Carolina rigged, Drop Shot rigged, on a Shakey Head rig, etc. and on and on. A Spin

Adam -- Let me try to explain the shipping procedure. Those Interantional orders are shipped by Fed Ex Inernational Air. Those shipments move very quickly. It is amazing sometime how fast they do arrive on the other side of the world. In your case, your order goes via Fed Ex Ground, unless you specify and select Fed Ex Air. Fed Ex Ground generally takes 7 to 10 days from our location in Flor

Permagloss is a great product for certain applications, but I would not suggest using it on the Skinz. The usual thread finish, such as Pro Kote, Flex Coat, U-40 Duragloss, Classic, Threadmaster, etc.

We've been building the HS9000 MHX, which is 7'-6" & the HS9600 MHX, which is 8' for the application you have mentioned. Those are 1 pc. blanks and if you want 2 pc., go with the HS9900-2 MHX. Gary Gillette here at Mud Hole has been using these blanks built as fly rods and catching largemouth bass, juvenille tarpon and redfish. I have cast them and they are rockets.

Hello Lucas -- Not sure by the wording of you original message, of whether you ordered the handle kit or your friend did? I did look at our system and saw where you ordered a MHSK-20 kit back in April. If we are talking about the same rod building kit, the MHSK-20 has a HKS-3 handle kit. If that is what we a speaking of, the recessed tenon on the grip is for the butt cap to fit on and the f

The Lamiglas Spin Jig blank is lighter overall, in the tip and butt than the SJ781 MHX. Thus the reason Gary Gillett suggested the DS820 or DS821.
