Jay and Russ-did some more detective work. He fishes out of Charleston It is his own boat and often runs 30-50 miles to fish. Found a pic that looks like he also fishes some artificials. Whatever I end up building, I realize it will only fit 1 maybe 2 applications. As mainly a FW bass guy, your help is very valuable! Thanks again.

Thanks guys. I will try to pick up a little more info. He lives 5 hours away and I'm trying to be covert (to create the surprise), but will keep trying. Thanks again.

I am trying to build a rod as a surprise for a relative and have only limited information about his fishing. He fishes offshore for yellowfin, wahoo, mahi and sailfish, almost always with live bait. I know this is sketchy, but would appreciate any blank suggestions you might have. Thanks!

I have the smaller model. I think it is 14 inches. First one I got burned out in less than a month. HF replaced it a year and a half ago and it is still running. Will upgrade when this one goes. Good luck.

I'm in Marietta, GA and suffer from a similar addiction. Unfortunately, day job gets in my way of fishing and building!

I have always had great service from Mudhole. Most recently I was trying a new build and needed help with components. Through numerous emails, Sean Cheaney did a super job of walking me through what I needed and answered some assembly questions too. Every contact was professional and very responsive. Thanks again Sean!

Col, I am referring to crosswraps. Thanks to you and Tom for responding. What a resource!

Am ready to try a crosswrap with two different images. Would appreciate any tips. Do you wrap each image on each pass or do you finish one image and then wrap the next? Do the images have to be the same size? Thanks in advance for your input and assistance.

I am using 1/2 in 24tpi in bandsaw for straight cuts and switch to 1/4 in with 24 tpi when I make curved cuts. Kind of a pain to switch blades but worth the results. Both get pretty smooth cuts.
